Our Story

The charitable efforts of Gary W. Murphy and his company, GW Murphy Inc., demonstrate a holistic approach to philanthropy, addressing a range of societal needs from education to basic health care, disaster relief efforts, recycling and sustainability, and providing tangible, long-term benefits to communities across the globe. Their actions exemplify how businesses can play an essential role in driving positive change and improving the lives of individuals in some of the world’s most underserved areas.

Timeline

  • Inception

    Founded in 2024 and granted 501c3 status, Recover International builds on the GW Murphy family’s 30-year legacy of philanthropy and expertise in the construction industry.

  • Milestones

    We started receiving donations in December 2024, and our first rebuilding project launched in 2025. We sent our first donated materials to assist survivors of Hurricane Helene in February 2025.

  • Future Projects

    We are excited to support nonprofits and people in need to rebuild and revitalize communities, especially those impacted by climate disaster and historically disenfranchised.
