Why reuse, repurpose, and recycle?

We prioritize sustainable practices by promoting the use of recycled materials and reducing waste, ensuring our recovery efforts support people and the planet. We aim to restore not just physical structures but also hope and vitality, helping communities to thrive after the storms of life.

Did you know?

Construction produces 2.2 billion tons of landfill waste, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, groundwater contamination, and other negative impacts on families and communities. Up to a quarter of all waste in the United States is produced by Construction & Demolition (C&D), and over 75% of construction waste still holds value and can be repurposed or recycled. An average of 30% of materials delivered to a construction site can end up as waste. Homeowners who are building or remodeling homes can divert useable materials from landfill by donating them to Recover International. Manufacturers and suppliers can reduce their carbon footprint by donating materials that are discontinued, slow-moving, or obsolete but still have complete functional use, rather than paying to dispose of it, or having it compete against your mainstream products in the marketplace. In addition to diverting materials from landfills, we will use your donated materials to help other organizations as well as contractors and distributors who service areas affected by natural disasters and economic challenges - all while providing a larger tax benefit than you might have gotten by selling material as scrap or bearing the costs of disposal.

Climate disasters and construction waste

Hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods not only damage communities and upend lives, but also create hazardous waste that takes years to clean up and reduces air quality, increases toxic emissions, and pollutes water sources. Join us to help revitalize communities that have survived a natural disaster and need our assistance to rebuild.

Restoring hope.

Rebuilding lives.
